You adopted a rescue dog and it turned out to be more complicated than you expected.

Maybe they're reactive on walks, or they can't be left alone for ten minutes, or they've started guarding their food and you're not sure how to handle it. Maybe things are actually going okay — but there's still this background hum of anxiety: am I doing enough? Am I missing something? Am I the right person for this dog?

I'm Danai. I work with rescue dog owners who are trying hard, getting conflicting advice from every direction, and just need someone to look at their specific dog and their specific life and say: here's what to do next.

I know what this feels like from the inside. Oreo, my rescue, was anxious, reactive, and resource-guarding — and figuring out how to help him changed everything for me. Now that's what I do for others.

This is for you if...

  • You rescued a dog and quickly realised it's harder than anyone told you it would be

  • You're doing your best but lying awake wondering if your best is enough

  • You want to train with kindness — no punishment, no quick fixes, no dominance nonsense

  • You'd rather understand your dog than just manage them

  • You're exhausted by conflicting advice and just want someone to look at your actual situation

If that's you, you're in the right place.

Step 1:

We have a free 30-minute call

No pitch, no pressure. We talk about your dog, your home, and what's not working. I ask questions, I listen, and I'll tell you honestly whether and how I can help — and if I'm not the right fit, I'll say so.

Step 2:

We build a plan around your actual life

Not a generic programme. A roadmap built around your dog's history, your household, and your schedule. No wasted time on sits and stays if what you actually need is recall and calm.

Step 3:

We work through it together

With regular check-ins, adjustments as your dog progresses, and a community of rescue dog owners who genuinely get it.

Penelope, Oscar

"Danai's thorough 'whole dog' approach made so much sense and her advice was really useful and beneficial to the issues I was experiencing with my newly acquired rescue dog. The initial pre-video form meant she had considerable insight into what I really needed to focus on and her follow up was prompt and detailed too. I found I totally trusted her advice and her vast experience of positive problem solving. I was able to help support my little dog by following her valuable research-based ideas on both resources to use and strategies to follow. Danai truly cares about improving dog and owner relationships and I highly recommend her to all owners of rescues who feel they need to gain further understanding of triggers, responses, plus nutrition and supplements." — ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Mary & Mousi

"After a year sleeping in the same room as Mousi, we 'weaned' her, as a friend perfectly put it. Within a month she moved from between us, to her bed beside ours, to near the door, to outside the door with a divider — and now she sleeps calmly and safely in the next room. Were there sleepless nights? Many. Did I panic about whether we'd manage? Hugely. Change isn't only hard for them. It's hard for us too. If your dog has separation anxiety, so do you. If your dog is reactive when threatened, you probably are too. Relationships are a mirror — and if you've built one with real respect and empathy, you share so much more than you realise. For this wonderful result, @the.dog.made.me.do.it is responsible — one conversation with her and ten little miracles happen."

Demetria, Olaf

"I met Danai through a webinar and I approached her right away in order to get some guidelines on how to handle some of my dogs' behaviours. I singled her because she is calm, she holds so much knowledge and she treats dog and guardian with love and respect. I felt safe to discuss with her exactly what was on my mind. Our sessions were online. I wholeheartedly recommend her."
